Punkhaus Distro

Having fun doing zine stuff and going to shows... making new friends... dumpster diving. I've had no time for the internet which is pretty good.

I need to get working on sending things out.

 Hey guys! We finally have the first issue of hanGover zine finished. 

We made our first issue on ledger-sized paper, so the cost is $3 with shipping included... The next zine will be on regular sized paper so it will only be $1. We just had to raise money for shipping and that's why it is so much.

It's definitely worth checking out if you're into punk bands or acoustic punk bands. We have band interviews, CD reviews, horror movie reviews, opinion blogs, etc! 

We're from a pretty small area with a really united scene so it would be rad to spread the word :)

 We are hoping to have the zine out by the end of the month. At least, this is what Ryan tells me. So anyway, my post today is going to be mostly toward the actual PUNKHAUS.

Ryan Viral and I are looking to get a house. Not just any house. Some sort of communal living. Anyone is welcome to join us... as long as you're reliable and can do your share of contributing to the rent and things that need done around the house. I'm also an animal person, so you'll just have to deal with that. We plan to have shows in the basement... all kinds of stuff. We like people... we just don't know many that are willing to open up and live with other people. I think it will be a really fun experience. The house will more than likely be under Ryan and I's name... we will look for something that we can rent to own or just suck it up, get a loan from the bank and buy a house. We just need some help. Also, you'll have to be okay with letting squatters, touring bands, and others crash there. We are going to have several couches just for such an occasion... 

We currently live in Hanover, PA and are willing to re-locate up to 20 miles from where we are now. We just need roommates! So far it is Ryan, myself, and a friend I had gone to school with. We are looking to have A LOT of people... just contact me :)

Thanks! And I hope you all think this is a cool idea. We've been wanting to do this for a very long time so it would be totally rad if some others would enjoy doing the same.

Ryan finished the review for our featured band.

Things are coming together nicely. For our first issue, it is looking pretty great.

Not entirely sure what I should be doing right now. Probably more zine stuff. I have a few recipes together... not sure what DIY stuff we're going to do... I guess it will be a surprise to even the zine writers.

I've been keeping up with the zine communities and I can't wait until I have money so I can buy peoples' zines... it sucks not having a rad job that actually pays! 

Anyway, enough blah blah blah. There is crap to be done.

Horror reviews are done.

Ryan is currently setting up our wordpress.com site.

I'm starting to work on the animal rescue/alt. health section.

-We've got Phill Filthy and I working on horror movie reviews.
-Brandi Neurotic and I are doing pop-punk/ska reviews.
-Ryan Viral and Phill Filthy are doing hardcore/punk reviews.
-Ed Arson and Phill Filthy are doing metal reviews.
-All other reviewers TBA but probably mostly Ryan Viral and myself.
-I am working on the animal rescue section and alternative health section.

We need writers and readers and bands who want us to distro their crap :) Oh... and DIY people too... you want us to  distro? We'll totally buy from you if you have reasonable prices.

Shirts are $5.00 each plus tax and all money goes to Punkhaus in order to support and distribute zines, music, and more!

The shirt is basically a black and white version of the Punkhaus logo. White on a black t-shirt or a red t-shirt. Your choice. Other colors may be available if specified.
